The Mongoose Robot is a compact multi-functional, multi-frequency, and very low cost expendable robot. The Mongoose Robot is outfitted with optical cameras to continuously provide real time threat analysis and intelligence gathering on a PC based network environment that can be operated remotely. The Mongoose Robot is unlike any other robot on the market; it is controlled and operated by client software using a secured network accessible from your laptop computer to operate and control the Mongoose anywhere in the world. The Mongoose Robot is versatile and lightweight (35 lbs) with a variety of sensors. The Mongoose Robot can be operated under the most adverse terrain conditions such as: sand, mud, rocks, and snow. The Mongoose Robot is also capable of climbing stairs and passing through doorways. The Mongoose Robot can be deployed to inspect underneath vehicles for potential explosive devices and with its new mast (six inches to eight foot mast) / turret system capable of providing remote surveillance allowing this robot to inspect and evaluate the interior of a vehicle for potential explosive devices. The Mongoose Robot has a variety of sensor options: multiple cameras (infrared, thermo, low light, pan / tilt/zoom).The Mongoose Robot has a built-in radiation sensor, a GPS tracking device, a motion sensor and a two-way audio communications (listen & speak). The onboard radiation detector can detect gamma radiation which will assist with the defense against terrorism using weapons of mass destruction. The network enhances communications, command and control, situational awareness to incident command.
